George Latter, Jr.
As CFO, (2004 – 2019) George was responsible for the accounting, student financial services, human resources, facilities, and IT functions, and was instrumental in the university’s financial sustainability efforts, a campus-wide prioritization initiative, four tax exempt financings, and coordination of the investment committee and endowed investments. His efforts were recognized independently through two credit rating upgrades from Moody’s Investors Service.
Known as a strategic thinker and collaborator, George is particularly passionate about adoption of best practices on a near continuous basis. This bias led to Point Loma being one of the pioneer campuses with Workday’s higher education enterprise reporting system. At CFO Colleague, his singular focus is to help mission-driven colleges and universities re-imagine and execute whatever is needed to achieve a sustainable future.
George and his wife Vera have two grown children and live in Centralia, WA.
