The Confident Campus Controller

10 STEPS TO HIGHER EDUCATION BUSINESS OFFICE SUCCESS
Higher education often recruits accounting professionals from other industries. For a new hire, the field’s specialized demands and distinct culture can make the transition daunting.

When our CEO Jessica Ryals joined a college accounting department a decade ago, she wished for a handbook to help her understand the industry and manage the disparate tasks quite literally piling up on her desk.

Late nights soon followed, during audit season, while preparing for the board, and throughout the annual budget process. Where were the easier hours she’d imagined while working in public accounting?

Jessica wrote The Confident Campus Controller as the guide she wished she’d had.

In her first book, she draws on firsthand experience to show what it takes to succeed in the Controller’s seat and how to make the role more manageable, strategic, and effective.

Great roadmap for Higher Ed Business Offices!

Jessica - I just finished reading your book last night... I am fired up! I appreciate your work SO much. I feel validated, encouraged and empowered! I feel like I have been sprinting a marathon the past two years. This gives me hope and a plan. Everywhere I look I am finding legacy processes and legacy thinking. Thank you for writing this book even though the topic is not glamorous. Your work is my roadmap that I have been missing. Again, I am so encouraged! I also just purchased 7 copies for all my leaders.
