David Carpenter

Strengthening financial sustainability while protecting institutional mission.

BIOGRAPHY

About David

David Carpenter brings over 20 years of experience in Christian higher education, including seven years in senior financial leadership. His work focuses on helping colleges and universities strengthen financial decision-making, navigate complex financial and regulatory challenges, and develop practical strategies that support long-term institutional sustainability.

Having spent much of his career in Christian higher education and ministry, David has a particular appreciation for the relationship between mission and financial sustainability. He understands that financial stewardship in a nonprofit or faith-based institution is not simply about reducing expenses or balancing a budget. It requires preserving and advancing the mission while making candid, disciplined decisions about resources, programs, people, and institutional capacity.
